ELF 100 Eyeshadow Palette Swatches and Review

ELF Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette
(AKA ELF 100 Eyeshadow Palette)

I purchased this a couple of weeks ago when ELF was having a sale on their studio line products. The sale was for 50% off so I picked up this palette and several other things. I played with the palette last night and I must say my initial opinion of this palette is good.

Price:
I paid $5.00 since there was a sale but it normally goes for $10.00. Even at $10.00 for 100 eye shadows is not a bad deal at all. You get so many different shades for such a reasonable price.

Packaging:

The palette comes in a see through case with the word “E.L.F” engraved on the front. I like that it is see through so you can see the color variations. Unlike the coastal scents palettes where you can’t see the colors but instead read the title. It also comes with a small mirror on the inside and 2 sponge tip applicators. The sponge applicators are typical but not worth using. There are way too many colors to just use the 2 applicators. The eye shadow squares are around ½ inch squares so it comes with a decent amount of product.

Product:

There is a combination of matte and shimmery shades in this palette. There are 10 rows by 10 columns and each column is color coded. For example, there is a white/beige/tan column, a blues/greens column, a red/burgundy column, nudes, etc. etc. The shimmery eye shadows are my favorites and they are truly pigmented. The matte shadows are okay but are very chalky and easily to blend away so I don’t like that. A trick to using matte shadows that are too chalky is to apply a good eyelid primer and use the shadows wet (i.e. spray your brush with a mist of water or makeup medium). I like the color variety and the fact that there is one palette that has both shimmery and matte eye shadows.

Pros:

Cost is reasonable at around $5.00 to $10.00. I like that there is a mix of matte and shimmery eye shadows. The see through case is convenient because you can see what colors are in the palette. The shimmery eye shadows are very pigmented and are of nice quality. I can see myself reaching for this palette a lot for the shimmery colors.

Cons:

The availability. You can only get this on eyeslipsface.com with the exception at Target for the holidays. I’ve looked but there were none at my Target. Since you have to buy it online you have to pay for shipping and it’s hard to decide to buy something without physically seeing it. It is also limited edition so if you don’t get it now, you may never get a chance to own it. The matte eye shadows are chalky and not worth it to me.

Overall, I would give this 4 out of 5 stars because of the price and the shimmery eye shadows! Now, onto the swatches! (click on the image for a larger picture)
