Wet n Wild Color Icon Palettes Lust Review

Wet n Wild Lust Palette

I have really enjoyed using these lately. I am very impressed with the quality and affordability of these palettes. Wet n Wild has outdone itself with creating new and innovative makeup products for their consumers. I really like that they gear their products for the consumer who likes playing with makeup and also those who do not want to spend an arm and a leg to afford these products. The lust palette has really nice colors that complement each other nicely. Check out my video tutorial for how to use it!

Price:
I bought two of these palettes for approximately $5.00 at my Rite Aid. I believe Rite Aid was also having a Buy One Get One Free sale so I was able to get 2 palettes for the price of one.

Packaging:
These palettes come with 2 applicators: a brush and a foam tip applicator. The applicators are on the smaller size around 1 inch. I like that it comes with a brush and in a pinch, if you need to use this palette, the applicators come in handy. A tip I find if you are going to use the applicators is only use one applicator for lighter colors and one applicator for darker colors. The brush is somewhat soft and like I said, if you are in a rush you could definitely achieve a smokey eye using only the applicators. I basically use the brush applicator to pat on one of the lighter, shimmery colors and use the foam applicator to apply a darker color to get a nice subtle smokey eye. You could use the foam applicator to apply a smudgy line to your waterline instead of using an eyeliner.

On the back of the package, there are detailed and diagrammed instructions on how to achieve different looks. For beginners who are just getting into makeup, this is a great palette for you.

Product:
There are 6 eye shadows total in the palette. One side consists of matte eyeshadows for a daytime, subtle look. The other side consists of shimmery, darker shades. They are extremely pigmented so a light touch will do you good. You can also layer on the colors to give you the right consistency of product. The lust palette has really nice colors that complement each other nicely.

The colors:

1. Pretty vanilla matte color. Great for a highlight and inner corner eye color
2. Frosty and shimmery milk color with fine shimmers. This would be great for highlighting the inner corner of your eyes.
3. Plum matte purple color. This would be great for the outer corner of your eyes especially for a daytime look
4. Sparkly dark gray with fine shimmer. Great for a simple smokey eye. Just combine 2 and 4 together and voile you have a simple dark smokey eye.
5. Matte violet color. This would be great in the crease area
6. Frosty dark auburn color with shimmer. This is very pigmented and would be great for the outer v or crease. Gorgeous for setting eyeliner!

-Availability. Can be found anywhere: Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc
-Great color variety that coordinate each other very nicely
-Love the mixture of both matte and shimmer eyeshadow
